Hepburn Delaney Solicitors, a Hemel Hempstead based law firm established in 2013 by Jane Hepburn and Rebecca Delaney, provide a bespoke service for a broad range of family matters. 

As their existing IT provider, we understood Hepburn Delaney’s focus on creating an efficient and streamlined service for their clients, as well as their commitment to invest in the latest technology.  They run a paperless system and are continuously looking for new ways of modernising their services.    


An urgent need for quality remote tools

Like millions of businesses, they quickly needed to adjust to working remotely following the coronavirus pandemic.  Alison Rowley, a partner at Hepburn Delaney, approached Total Group after realising their existing remote desktop software was clumsy and inadequate.  They previously had little need to invest in high-quality remote tools, but swiftly required an upgrade to maintain the efficient service they’re known for.

A fluid transition from on-premise to cloud

Having already established proven success with cloud-based systems such as Windows Azure AD with other clients, we realised a cloud approach would naturally help Hepburn Delaney.  We’d experienced an influx of businesses reaching out to ask about remote technology and were able to provide advice and management at a fast pace.

As well as moving the solicitors from a limited and less secure on-premise server to full operation from the cloud, we also implemented cloud backup via Acronis — a reliable, easy-to-use, secure backup product.

The installation process amounted to a few days, and we notified the client of key milestones to ensure they were always kept in the loop.

Hepburn Delaney, who have always invested in their people and the latest technology, were delighted with their new cloud-based system.  No more expensive costs for a local server, hardware or operating systems and zero downtime ensured they could continue to provide quality services at reasonable prices.
