Business connectivity

Business Internet: Full Fibre, Leased Lines and 10Gb

Gigabit internet is now within reach of most UK businesses. But a faster line only helps if your network can carry it. We design the whole path, from the line to the firewall, switches, Wi-Fi and cabling, and keep it secure and monitored around the clock.

Choose the right connection

We check every option available at your postcode and recommend the one that fits how you work, not the biggest number on the price list.

Up to 1Gbps and beyond

Business full fibre (FTTP)

Fast, affordable fibre to your building for smaller offices and shops.

  • Quick to install where available
  • Static IP addresses available
  • Ideal with a 4G or 5G backup
100Mbps to 10Gbps

Leased line

A dedicated fibre circuit for your business only, the same speed up and down.

  • Guaranteed, uncontended bandwidth
  • Service level agreement with fast fix times
  • Built for cloud, video and backups all day
10Gbps symmetrical

10Gb leased line

For data-heavy and multi-site businesses, and for running your own systems and AI.

  • Large file transfer and cloud backup
  • Multiple sites over one connection
  • Room to grow for years
More about 10Gb leased lines
Always on

Backup and multi-site

Automatic failover and joined-up sites, so one fault never stops the business.

  • 4G, 5G or second-network backup
  • SD-WAN for multiple offices
  • Business phones (VoIP) over the same connection

A faster line is only as fast as your slowest box

Upgrading to gigabit or 10Gb internet is one of the best investments a growing business can make, but the speed has to reach your people. These are the bottlenecks we find most often:

Part of your networkCommon bottleneckWhat gigabit needsWhat 10Gb needs
FirewallMany firewalls slow down sharply once security scanning (web filtering, intrusion prevention, anti-malware) is switched on.A firewall sized on its throughput with security scanning on, not its headline speed.A firewall built for multi-gigabit security throughput, with 10Gb ports.
SwitchesOlder switches with 100Mbps or 1Gbps ports and no faster uplinks.Gigabit to every desk and power over Ethernet for phones and access points.10Gb uplinks and a 10Gb core between switches, servers and the firewall.
Wi-FiOlder access points that cannot reach gigabit speeds on laptops and phones.Wi-Fi 6 or newer access points with 2.5Gbps uplinks, placed by survey.Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 for the busiest areas, on multi-gigabit switch ports.
CablingOld or damaged cabling and long runs that limit speed.Cat5e or better (supports 1Gbps).Cat6A (10Gbps up to 100 metres) or fibre between floors and cabinets.
DevicesOlder PCs and laptops with slower network cards and Wi-Fi.Current business laptops and PCs.Workstations and servers with 10Gb network cards where they need it.

Free gigabit readiness check

Before you pay for a faster line, we check what your network can really carry. We review your firewall, switches, Wi-Fi, cabling and current line, test real-world speeds, and give you a clear, costed plan: what to keep, what to upgrade and what it will cost. No obligation.

Or skip the upfront hardware bill

On our Infinity and Infinity Plus packages your firewall, switches and Wi-Fi are supplied, managed and replaced by us as part of one monthly price per PC, with 24/7 monitoring of your network. When you move to a faster line, the network kit to match is already part of the service.

Why buy your connectivity from your IT partner

One number to call

No more being passed between the internet provider and the IT company. We own the problem and chase the carrier for you.

Secure from day one

Your new line arrives with a properly configured, monitored firewall, not a default router left open to the internet.

Planned, not rushed

We manage the survey, install and cutover around your business, with backup in place so nobody loses a working day.

We work with the UK's major networks and wholesale carriers, including:

How it works

  1. 1Availability check

We check every network and speed available at your postcode.

  2. 2Readiness check

We review your firewall, switches, Wi-Fi and cabling and agree the plan.

  3. 3Install

We order the line, manage the carrier and prepare your network.

  4. 4Cutover and support

We switch you over with backup in place, then monitor and support it.

Questions and answers

What is the difference between business full fibre and a leased line?

Business full fibre (FTTP) is a fast, affordable fibre connection shared with other users on the same network, with download speeds now commonly up to 1Gbps or more. A leased line is a dedicated fibre circuit for your business only: the same speed up and down, guaranteed bandwidth, and a service level agreement with fast fix times. Most offices that rely on cloud apps, video calls and backups all day are better served by a leased line.

Do we need gigabit or 10Gb internet?

Gigabit suits most offices today. 10Gb is worth considering when you move large files, back up to the cloud, run several sites over one connection, host your own systems or run AI on your own hardware. We size the line to how you actually work, and we tell you honestly when a smaller line will do.

Will our current firewall, switches and Wi-Fi cope with a faster line?

Often they will not. Many firewalls lose much of their speed once security scanning is turned on, older switches have 100Mbps or 1Gbps ports with no faster uplinks, and older Wi-Fi access points cannot deliver gigabit speeds to laptops. Our free gigabit readiness check finds the bottlenecks before you pay for a faster line.

How long does installation take?

Business full fibre can often be installed in days to a few weeks where it is already available. Leased lines usually take longer, typically several weeks, because new fibre often has to be laid to your building. We project manage the install and the cutover so there is no gap in service.

What happens if our line goes down?

We can add an automatic backup connection, such as 4G, 5G or a second line from a different network, so your business stays online. Your connection is monitored, and we chase the carrier for you if there is a fault.

Can you take over our existing contract?

Yes. We review your current contract and end date, check availability at your address, and plan the move so the new service is live before the old one ends.

Is the network equipment included?

On our Infinity and Infinity Plus packages your firewall, switches and Wi-Fi are supplied, managed and replaced by us as part of one monthly price, so a faster line does not mean a large upfront hardware bill.
